A thousand years ago the rulers of Ireland had a similar idea, at the annual festival at Tara in Co. Meath, seat of the Irish High Kings, the best work of Ireland's finest artisans was awarded the privilege to carry the mark of the "great hall". The term "hallmark" comes from this practice. O'Day Bros. operated at that location for 110 years until, with 3 kids and a husband away in the Navy Nana had to lock the doors during Great Uncle Mike's illness. Long ago Nana cut the ribbon to reopened O'Day Bros. inside Tipperary, We feature a complete line of Irish groceries.
