The Blasket style sweater was traditionally worn by fishermen in years gone by, but has now come back in to fashion in recent times as seen on the catwalks of Fashion Weeks around the world.  Hand wash in lukewarm water, do not bleach, do not tumble dry, dry flat, reshape while damp, use a warm iron and store folded in a cool, dry place. Founded in Dublin in 1988, Ireland' s Eye Knitwear is a family-run company making knitwear for over 30 years. Inspired by the Irish landscape and the colours of nature, they combine a traditional Irish knitwear heritage with their own unique twist. Designed and made in Dublin, each piece is crafted using 100% natural yarn, carefully finished by hand.

Our classic Aran sweater, made from 100% Merino wool, provides both the depth of traditional Aran stitches and softness of modern yarns in a warm earthy mustard yellow colour. This wool has a natural flexibility. The garment may feel snug at first, but the fibres loosen once given a gentle stretch. For a more relaxed, generous fit, we recommend sizing up.
