STICKS ARE IN VERY VERY SHORT SUPPLY IN IRELAND. THERE ARE ONLY A COUPLE OF PART TIME MAKERS STILL PRODUCING BLACKTHORN STICKS.

We currently have three options in stock. The Everyday Stick, The Heavy Stick (which is a bit thicker than the Everyday) and the Presidential Stick which is a replica of sticks presented to several US Presidents on their visits to Ireland.

Blackthorn walking sticks are cut from blackthorn hedges in the west of Ireland. The Blackthorn Walking stick has a reputation of being a stout, reliable walking cane. Tough, resilient and naturally resistant to warping, chipping and discoloration. Blackthorn walking sticks offer a longevity rarely seen in walking canes and this classic piece of history can be yours.

Presidential : These Walking sticks have a textured black painted finish and a handle at about a 30 degree angle. The handle of these walking sticks are crafted from this authentic blackthorn wood and the shaft of the stick is crafted from hazel for a sturdy walking stick. Comes with a rubber grip at the bottom tip.
